Just one day after announcing his Presidential run in 2024, shock jock has found a running mate in Bradley Cooper.

The 68-year-old Stern announced on his daily Sirius XM radio program Monday that he would consider running for President in 2024, if the ‘s once again nominate .

During Wednesday’s episode, he revealed that Cooper, 47, reached out and congratulated him on his potential Presidential run, when Stern asked if he’d be his running mate, which Cooper apparently immediately accepted.

Before revealing the name of his running mate, Stern said he was, ‘texting back and forth’ with someone he was interested in having as his running mate.

‘He said I want to congratulate you and you have my vote and we had a very lovely conversation and I said, “How would you feel about being the Vice President?” And you know what he said?”Done!”‘ Stern said.

‘He said, “I’m in, but you know, I’m another white male,” and I said, you know, I appreciate you saying that, but I believe you’ll be such an asset to the ticket, that I think people would understand,’ Stern explained.

His longtime co-host Robin Quivers asked if he has given this, ‘great consideration,’ and he said, ‘I gave as much consideration as I did putting my hat in the ring: almost none,’ which made Quivers laugh.

Stern added he was ‘shocked’ that Cooper wanted in, with Quivers asking if this person should be live with them, but Stern said he didn’t want to be bothered because he’s shooting a movie.

Stern added that he will, ‘bring in the female vote like you wouldn’t believe,’ before announcing that Cooper is the pick.

The news clearly stunned Quivers, who said, ‘What?Get out of here! He said he wanted to be Vice President?’

She also asked, ‘Does he know what he’s saying yes to?’ as Stern joked, ‘No. I told him I’m announcing it today.’

Quivers also added that when former Hollywood actor-turned-California governor Ronald Reagan ran for President, ‘they were like, “That’s the guy who acted with a chimp.” And now we’re gonna have a guy who’s played a raccoon,’ referencing Cooper’s role as Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Stern added that Cooper, ‘didn’t even hesitate’ to say yes, adding, ‘He’s a real patriot and a great raccoon. That’s our campaign slogan.’ 

Stern’s announcement on Monday seemingly came as a direct response to the Supreme Court overturning the abortion law Roe v.Wade.

‘I said to Robin, and I hate to say this, but, but I said to her, “I’m actually gonna probably have to run for president now,”‘ Stern said. 

‘The problem with most presidents is they have too big of an agenda. The only agenda I would have is to make the country fair again,’ he said, adding that one of the top items on his agenda is to eliminate the Electoral College.

‘I went into a long-winded speech over the weekend to Robin about how I am going to do the very simple thing that’ll set the country straight: One vote, one person, no more of this Electoral College,’ Stern said on Monday.

‘I’m getting rid of it.And then Robin said, “Well, can you do that as president?” And I said, “I don’t know, let’s find out!”‘ he added.

Stern also wants to appoint more Supreme Court justices, adding, ‘As soon as I become president, you’re gonna get five new Supreme Court justices that are going to overturn all this bulls**t.’

This would not be Stern’s first foray into politics, having run for New York Governor under the Libertarian Party ticket in 1994.

He ultimately dropped out of the race after refusing to disclose his personal finances. 

It’s also worth noting that Stern signed a new five-year deal with Sirius XM in December 2020 that runs until the end of 2025.
